At Williamson Medical Center, we offer three locations to make getting the images you need easier than ever. Our centers are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) as a center of excellence in breast imaging and include 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI (guided by magnetic resonance imaging, 26% stereotactic ultrasonography). Other services include bone density, CT scan, diagnostic X-ray, electrocardiogram, magnetic resonance imaging, and ultrasound (general, 26% vascular).At Williamson Medical Center, we understand that time is of the essence when it comes to medical care. That's why we offer same-day appointments for our patients.
Appointments are not required for diagnostic radiography and electrocardiogram. We also offer biopsy guided by computed tomography (ACR) &, magnetic resonance imaging (ACR), nuclear medicine (ACR), general X-ray and fluoroscopic procedures, interventional procedures, ultrasound and ultrasound biopsy, echocardiography. At the Turner-Dugas Breast Health Center at Williamson Medical Center, together with our outpatient imaging center, we can offer same-day imaging and medical consultations. This provides convenience and fast response time for our patients. Those with abnormal test results have the opportunity to be treated quickly to minimize the anxiety associated with waiting for test results.
We also perform breast biopsies in situ. We have updated our doctors' order forms to allow follow-up images to be obtained when necessary. This includes a breast health consultation which has been very useful in coordinating breast care and keeping the patient's primary care team informed of her progress. We have a certified breast health counselor who can help coordinate follow-up visits and additional services as needed. In addition to our incredible breast imaging technology, we recently invested in the latest generation of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This new 3.0 Tesla wide-diameter MRI doubles the power of a conventional MRI, allowing for images with exceptional detail and faster scanning times.
3.0T magnetic resonance imaging is now the reference for many forms of diagnostic imaging, including breast MRI.
